Facebook, Facebook, Facebook. I have been hearing about this term quite a lot lately and yes, even I myself agree that most of us had been hooked up to it almost daily. From intriguing status updates, sexy uploaded-photos and link shares, we just cant stop stalking them, liking them and even commenting on them.

Lately, there has been many changes done on Facebook by the Facebook team but unfortunately, most of the changes happens to be a major disaster. They recently forced all the groups to so-called ‘upgrade’ but in the end, many of the basic functions of the initial Facebook group had been abandoned, leaving the group to be somewhat like a ‘page’. And, for the Facebook ‘page’, fortunately it is still a page. Since people can now ‘like’ a comment on a status update as well, I won’t be surprised if sooner or later, people can also like another ‘like’ and commenting on that particular ‘like’. This is how deep Facebook is going and driving us crazy at times when it comes to managing the sudden features and changes.

DEEPAVALI: GREETINGS WITH THE MEANING...

The Legend -

There is even an interesting legend behind this festival. The story goes that Narakasura, a demon, ruled the kingdom of Pradyoshapuram. Under his rule, the villagers suffered a lot of hardship as the demon tortured the people and kidnapped the women to be imprisoned in his palace. Seeing his wickedness, Lord Krishna set out to destroy the demon and the day Narakasura died was celebrated as Deepavali, the triumph of good over evil!

Preparations -

Preparation for Deepavali starts usually at least two to three weeks before the festival. It is known in our country the Hindus will be busy cleaning their houses to prepare for the festival. Some would even renovate include painting; furniture changes may take effect to prepare it for Deepavali. Shoppin! Is the usual drill for the family to shop for new clothes and for accessories to decorate their homes. Prior to the festival, Indian shops will be selling festive items like Deepavali greeting cards, carpets, sarees, Jigpa’s and Kurtas, Punjabi suits and flowers. The Hindus will have frequent visits to these shops when it is Deepavali Season. Food supplies will also be accounted as Deepavali main event will be spent on food most of the time esp for all types of people.

Celebrations -

The Hindus usually wake early in the morning of Deepavali around 3am (Brahmamuhurta) and the first ritual will be having an oil bath (Containing Nallenei & Siakai), which is an important feature of Deepavali. Hindus will be dressed in their new clothes on Deepavali. Most of the ladies would be clad in silk saris or Punjabi suits of various bright shades. Hindus particularly dislike dressing in black on that day, as they consider black an inauspicious colour for the festival. Hindus would also pay their respects to the elderly and most families would go to the temple before having breakfast. This is also an important practice for them. The houses would be decorated in the day and illuminated by night with oil lamps and children will play with firecrackers to celebrate the festival under elders’ provisional guide. On the first day, they would not go visiting but would stay at home to welcome the guests who visit them.

Food -

Visiting Hindus during Deepavali is an interesting activity in Malaysia, as you will get to taste a wide variety of delicious food. In every home that you visit you are bound to be served with a tempting spread of sweets. Some of the popular sweets are Kolkattai, Murukku, Jilebi, Athirasam, Halwa, Burfi and Laddu. Hindus love eating spicy food and for non-vegetarians they indulge in favourites like chicken tandoori, prawn sambal and fish head curry. In homes of Hindus who are vegetarian’s popular dishes are like thosais, idlis, pooris and naans are prepared.

On him we mediate for the removal of obstacles

Creation has no beginning nor end. It is anaadi, eternal and a day of brahma was to dawn anew following the long night. Though this still night suddenly emerged a beautiful sound, a powerful sound, the mind-blowing OM*. In this new age, called the Shwetavaraha Kalpa , the Great God had appeared in the form of OM were followed by a beautiful soft light, the first dawn heralding a new Sun.

The Ganapatya Cult(which was later absorbed into Hinduis,) believes that OM or the Pranava Mantra as this symbol of God is called, is embodied in the form of Ganesha , also commonly known as Ganapati or Vinayaka. He is the first word , Vaak, the First Cause.

According to this cult, with the sound of OM resounding through the Universe, Ganesha appeared against the light of the first dawn, blowing the conch through which the sound of OM had emanated. He came in the form of Nritya Ganapati, dancing in great abandon, swirling , whirling, his movements beyond Man's understanding. He called the Trinity to him and asked them to create and preserve the world and to destroy the evils in it.

OM Shri Ganeshaaya Namah
A Child is first introduced to learning with a prayer to Ganesha, the fountain head of wisdom when laying the foundation of a building. Ganesha is invoked before placing the first stone. No new business or industry is started without a prayer to him. Travelers on lonely roads stop and pray at roadside Ganesha shrines comforting themselves that Ganapati will remove all dangers in their path.

All auspicious events begin with an invocation to this deity. At the commencement of all samskaras or rituals that dot the life of a Hindu from birth until the evening of lhis life, it is the worship of Ganesha that precedes the ceremony.

Ganesha is addressed in hymns and prayers by many names, sometimes eight, sometimes twelve, sometimes sixteen , sometimes thirty-two. Most popularly he is addressed as Ganapati or Ganesha, lord of the ganas or celestial hordes, and as Gajanana, the one with the face of an elephant. He is also called Vakratunda of the twisted trunk,and Ekadanta, having but one tusk. He is known as Krishna Pingaaksha, one with dark, reddish brown eyes and Gjavaktra, having an elephant''s mouth. He is Lambodara. One with a fat belly , and Vikata, of the monstrous figure. He is addressed as Vighnaraja and Vighneshwara, the king and lord of obstacles as also Vignaharta or Vighnanaashin, the destroyer of obstacles. His smoke coloured body has given him the name. Dhoomravarna, and his tawny colour , the name Kapila. He is Phaalachandra, sporting the moon crest,and Vinayaka remover of hindrances.

He is also Sumukha of the auspicious and pleasant visage, Heramba the five headed protector of the weak, and Ganaadhyaksha, the leader of celestial hordes. His large ears resemble the winnow and have given him the name, Soorpakarna. He is Skandapoorvaja , older than Skanda, the other son of Shiva and Parvati. He is Akhuratha, with the rat as his chariot, and Siddhidaata, the bestower of success. The Tamils however have their own special name for him-Pillaiyar, the revered and noble son.

Whatever the name by which he is addressed, all prayers to Ganesha ask for the removal of obstacles which block the path of the devotee, and for success in all endeavours, whatever be the goal.

A common prayer to Ganapati beseeches him thus:

Nirvighnam Kurumedeva

Sarvakaaryeshu Sarvadaa

with the dazzle and light of millions of suns

Birth of Ganesha
Each of lthe puranas has a different story regarding the birth of Ganesha. In some he is the maanasika putra (mind born son )of Shiva. In others he is the creation of Parvati. In still others he is the son of Shiva and Parvati.

All these are stories from the various Puranas where, firstly , Ganesha appears as the Son of Shiva or Parvati or both and is given powers as the lord of the Ganas by Shiva, and
Secondly, acquires an elephant head which replaces his original human head.

The two Upa Puranas, the Ganesha Purana and Mudgala Purana on the other hand treat Ganapati as the Great God himself, to whom even the Trinity pay obeisance and ask for his help to save the world from evil.

There are 4 yugas or ages the Krita, Treta, Dwapaara and Kali Yuga. According to the Ganesha Purana , Ganesha incarnated in each yuga or age in a different form for a particular purpose.

In the Krita Yuga, Ganesha was born on earth as Mahokata the son of Sage Kashyapa and his wife Aditi. In this incarnation he destroyed the demons Naraaantak and Devantak who wre harassing the three worlds, as also another demon, Dhoomraaksha. On his achieving the purpose of his incarnation. He left his earthly parents , promising them that his astral spirit would be there whenever they wanted him.

In the Treta Yuga, Ganesha was born as a son of Parvati. Once while playing he brought the wild peacock under control and was named Mayuresha as a result. He released birds like Jataayu. Shyena and Sampaati from the serpent kingdom and killed the domon Sindhu, the purpose for which he had incarnated.. He then married Siddhi and Buddhi ( personifications of achievement and wisdom ) and gifted his peacock to his brother Kartikeya whose vehicle it became. He hen went back to his heavenly abode.

In the Dwaapara Yuga, Ganesha was born on earth as Gajaanana, and was adopted by Sage Paraashara and his wife, Vatsala when the king and queen his parents, deserted him on seeing an elephant headed child. He then conquered the evil demon , Sindhur, and then taught the Ganesha Geeta, the wisdom of the ages, to the king and queen who had earlier deserted him.

It had been predicted and proven by our own experience that in the Kali Yuga ( in which we are living now ) evil will predominate. Men will harm his fellow men and all being s wil chase chimerical values. Desire for wealth and acquisitiveness will lead to all eartly beings destroying one another and bringing about chaos.

To set matters right, the Ganesha Purana , avers that Ganesha will incarnate in earth as Dhoomraketu, when he will destroy the evil in the minds of men and reestablish righteousness and peace.

The other Upa Purana, the Mudgala Purana, details eight incarnations of Ganesha, each of which set out to conquer the vices that afflict man and woman and turn their minds away from righteousness.

The first prayer of a Hindu is always to Vinayagar.Vinayagar is invoked at the beginning of all ritualistic worship. He is invoked before a family moves into a house. Recitatation of holy songs begin with the recitation of a Vinayagar mantra or song.
While there are countless Vinayagar temples, every Hindu temple dedicated to some other deity, including the Vaisnavite temple, has a statue of him. Vinayagar is not only worshipped by Hindus. He has a place in many other religions and nations of people. His name might not be the same but the figure is similar and so are the ideas that Vinayagar represents - auspiciousness, prosperity, well-being and wisdom.
Vinayagar has a place in the Buddhist temple and among the Jains. The Chinese too worship Vinayagar but with a different name. Vinayagar or Vinayagar-like deities are found in Indonesia, Japan, Afghanistan, Mexico, Brazil, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Tibet, Mongolia and Polynesia, among other places.
Vinayagar is both the Lord of obstacles as well as the Remover of obstacles. When we do evil things or when the time is not right, He places obstacles in our path. When we take the correct path, He removes the root of our troubles.

VINAYAGAR'S NAMES

Vinayagar has many names and many forms of His own. The word Vinayagar or Vinayagan is a combination of Vi + Nayagan."Vi" means "No" while "Nayagan" means "head". Vinayagar literally means He who has no leader. That is, He himself is the leader of all and therefore the highest.
Ganapati = gana + pati.Pati = Lord; gana = Siva's warrior attendants. Therefore it means the Lord of Siva's warrior attendants.
Ganapati also has another meaning derived from the root words ga + na + pati. Ga = going (into the world of knowledge); Na = the end (of this knowledge); and Pati = Lord.Therefore the Lord of both the path and goal/end and therefore the highest.
Ganesan = easan + gana. Easen = Lord. So Lord of Siva's attendants.
Vigneswaran = vigh + easwaran.Vigh = obstacles; Easwaran = Lord. Therefore it means Lord of obstacles and Remover of obstacles.
Siddhivinayagar/Sithivinayagar = siddhi + vinayagar. Siddhi = powers or fulfillment; vinayagar = the top leader. This name therefore means the leader who confers powers or fulfillment on devotees.
Gajamugha = gaja + mugham.Gaja = elephant; Mugham = face. It means the elephant-faced One. Gajananan carries the same

THE FORM

Vinayagar's form is shaped like and represents the Aum (also spelt "Om") which is the primeval, creative energy. When the elephant cries it produces a sound akin to the Aum.
The Aum is the sound symbol of Brahmam, Sivam, The Eternal, The Unchanging, the substratum of all existence.
The Aum is the seat of Siva and the base of all mantras and the Vedas. The world originated from the Aum. It is the beginning and the end of all the Vedas, letters and sounds. Aum is the origin of everything and the essence in all of them.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF VINAYAGAR

Life evolves from lower forms into higher forms, from a lower stage to a higher stage. There are obstacles which obstruct the unfoldment of life from the lower stage to a higher stage. However, somehow, with time, the evolving being overcomes these obstacles and continues to progress.
Our sages saw that from the amoeba right up to man, there is this upward movement with a steady direction. In man, our sages saw the unfoldment from the man-brute to the godman.
Hindu sages realized that something motivates and gives direction to the unfoldment of life. They recognized that there was a cosmic intelligence guiding and providing this direction.
This intelligent principle guides and helps life overcome all obstacles in its unfoldment. Our sages decided to call this intelligent principle which removes obstacles in the path of progress and aids in our unfoldment Vigneswara or Vinayagar.
Also, while some Hindus consider Vinayagar simply an embodiment or symbol of philosophic or spiritual truths, others consider Vinayagar as real and existing.Hinduism accepts both streams of thought. Vinayaga baktas believe that Vinayagar exists in a greater world than ours from where He guides our destinies.

VINAYAGAR REPRESENTS UNITY

Vinayagar represents unity.He has a revered place in all Hindu temples including the Siva temple and the Krishna temple. This serves to remind the overzealous Vaisnavites and the overzealous Saivites that Siva and Krishna are one and the same.
Vinayagar's form also shows the unity that exists between man and animal and the need for harmony. A human body connects an elephant head to a mouse.It shows that from the lowest to the highest, all creatures are a part of God and that man is intimately connected to all life forms.
The human body being in the middle reminds man that he has to ensure a balance in nature and tred the middle-path.
Again the elephant is a non-meat eater. This signifies that man should practice Ahimsa. Man should not cause any injury to his fellow beings. We are taught to live in harmony with nature.
Since the every first prayer goes to Vinayagar it shows how important the Hindu sages consider unity. And it reminds man that his foremost duty is to ensure unity in diversity which is the law of nature.

ELEPHANT AND MOUSE

Hindu deities normally each have their own vehicle in the form of some animal or bird. This is to drive home the point that all beings are the vehicles of God and that they have no existence independent of Him. Vinayagar has an enormous elephant head and He is seated on a small mouse. What is the significance of this?The elephant represents wisdom and strength. Its trunk can remove obstacles. The large head represents an expanded consciousness. It represents the highest type of consciousness.
The mouse is always associated with the earth. Almost all parts of its body are in contact with the earth. It represents the lowest type of consciousness.
And what connects these two?The human body. The message to the devotee is this: Man can be like the mouse which has limited consciousness or he can work his way up to achieve an expanded consciousness as represented by the elephant head. The rat runs hither and tether, Man's mind too, ruled by impulses, runs hither and thither. However, he is also capable of being wise, hardworking and strong like the elephant. Man's goal then is to remove his mouse qualities and enter the elephant stage.
The huge elephant sitting on a tiny mouse also indicates the truth that the Atman is the same in all, irrespective of size or birth or race.
Another meaning is also given to the mouse. It moves everywhere unnoticed and steals or destroys food. Like the mouse, egoism too exists unnoticed in our minds and silently wrecks havoc in our lives.When controlled by divine wisdom, however, the ego can aid progress.

THE TRUNK

The elephant trunk is very significant.The trunk is also its nose. The elephant nose is its greatest weapon and tool. Similarly, Vinayagar having the elephant form shows that man's nose is his greatest weapon and tool. How?Breath-control. Through breath control man can attain powers. It can help him expand his consciousness and move towards Sivagati.

LARGE EARS

Vinayagar has large ears. Why?It is to teach us to talk less and listen more. Many of our problems with people arise because we listen little but talk a lot. Before someone can finish saying what he wants to say, we interrupt. This truth can be verified at home and at meetings.
Ears are used to gain knowledge. The large ears indicate that when God is known, all knowledge is known.

THE POT-BELLY

Vinayagar has a huge pot-belly.Why?Vinayagar's pot belly suggests that it can contain anything and everything. His belly is considered to be the womb of the world.
We notice that His belly is something like that of a pregnant woman who holds life in her. The difference is that while the pregnant woman supports one life or perhaps two or three, Vinayagar supports and sustains all life. He is the creative energy that brings forth life.
Vinayagar's protruding belly and stories about His voracious appetite show that He can digest anything.
This indicates that a man of perfection, the highly evolved man, can digest anything whether it is pain or pleasure, good or bad, honor or dishonor. He has attained equilibrium.

THE HAND

The right hand of the deities in almost all representations is held in the Abaya posture with palm facing us. It indicates that he who surrenders unto Him need not fear anything. Vinayagar assures us that we should be brave as He is with the good and noble.

THE FOOT

One foot of Ganesa touches the ground while the other is folded and rests on the other thigh. Why?This suggests that while we live in this world, we must tread the middle path and not go to extremes. Moderation should be our guide.

MODAKAM

In representations of Vinayagar, He is depicted as holding the modakam, a sweet cake, in one hand. There are usually modakam placed in a tray in front of him or held by His trunk.
This is to show that the spiritually wise man always finds the world and life sweet as it enables him to be of service to his fellow beings of God. It also affords him an opportunity to improve himself and progress towards Sivagati.
The modakam consists of the outer flour portion and the inner sweet portion. The inner sweet portion represents the Supreme. The message is that man must dive within himself, transcend the outer, in order to find the inner treasure.

THE PASAM

Vinayagar, just like most other deities, is always shown holding a Pasa or rein/noose in one hand. The pasa has been given several interpretations.
The pasa represents desires and feelings that bind. Uncontrolled desires are the seeds of bondage. Like the noose they strangle us.
The pasa shows that attachment is the cause of birth. It also shows the creative aspect of divinity.
It is said that with the pasa (reins), Vinayagar guides us on the right path.With the pasa too He maintains obstacles in our path when we take a wrong turning or when the time is not right for us to do something.
The pasa tells us we must bind ourselves to God for material and spiritual progress. For unfoldment we must bind ourselves through love, thavam and service to God.
It suggests too that we should use our discrimination to control our desires as this conserves energy and helps us move upward. The pasa shows He binds us with His love and will guide us.

ANKUSA

The ankusa is a hook-like instrument. This too has various related interpretations. The ankusa symbolizes discrimination which can pierce through delusions. It is said that Vinayagar removes obstacles and troubles in our path using the ankusa. He helps us be rid of delusions.
The ankusa indicates that we must check our emotions and passions through strict self-control and thavam. Like a hook pulling at our flesh, self-control and thavam will cause pain but it must be done. We must use our discrimination to control our lower nature.
The ankusa reminds us to break away from the grip of material entanglements. .
The ankusa is also said to stand for anger which hurts us. The pasa (attachment) and ankusa (anger) will not help in spirituality. So we have to get rid of anger and attachment by surrendering to Vinayagar.
As the ankusa is used for destruction, it is also said that it shows the destructive or dissolving power of God.

THE SNAKE

Vinayagar is the presiding deity of the Mooladhara Chakra which is the foundation of the evolutionary, creative or primeval energy called the Kundalini Sakti. It is coiled up like a snake when dormant. When activated, this energy is said to result in an expansion of consciousness and the unfoldment of man into Godman.
This results in various siddhis (powers and therefore we have Siddhi Vinayagar.Raising this energy to the Sahasrara will bring enlightenment.
A snake normally coils around Vinayagar's belly. This represents the Kundalini sakti.It reminds us that we have to awaken this energy to reach the state of expanded consciousness.
The snake around the belly also shows that everything in nature (the pot-belly) is supported by energy.

THE BROKEN TUSK

Vinayagar's right tusk is broken. There are a few interpretations of this. Some suggest that it means we should not be trapped between the pairs of opposites like pleasure and pain but that we should with conscious effort break its grip on us. Vinayagar uses the broken tusk as a writing instrument.This shows that a man who transcends the pair of opposities becomes creative. Our right side represents Siva (spiritual) and the left is Sakti (material). The broken right tusk indicates that one must break-off the ego for spiritual fulfillment. In worldly life however, we need the ego as otherwise we cannot live.But the ego is worldly life must be controlled by divine wisdom. The story runs that Vinayagar and Vyasa participated in a challenge whereby Vyasa would recite the Mahabharatam without a pause and Vinayagar would write it down without stopping. In those days they wrote on palm leaves with a thick stylus. However, halfway, Vinayagar's stylus broke but he quickly broke off His tusk to continue, writing without stopping. This story indicates that we should be willing to make sacrifices for any noble cause.

STOTRAS AND MANTRAS

It is said that by reciting Vinayaga Stotras, mantras and Thevaram songs we create energy which activates divine faculties in our consciousness. This helps remove obstacles that hamper our material and spiritual progress. What is required is patience and perseverance.We must apply the Pasa and Ankusa.
Also, when we concentrate on Vinayagar and sing His praises, we awaken the divine potential in us.

Reciting the following mantra is said to bring auspiciousness:

Aum Sri Ganesaya Namah

Aum Sri Maha Ganapathiyae Namah

Aum Sri Gam Ganapathiyae Namah.

VINAYAGAR WORSHIP

Vinayagar worship is very simple. It is the most informal too.If we do not have a statue or picture of Him, no problem. We can make a conical shape out of clay, earth, wet turmeric powder or santhanam (sandalwood) paste and it becomes Vinayagar automatically. Even a rock or a tree with some bearing to his shape can be worshipped.

VINAYAGAR FORMS

Vinayagar is usually said to have 32 different forms.Among the important forms are: Bala Ganapati, Taruna Ganapati, Bhakti Ganapati, Vigheswara, Veera Ganapati, Sakti Ganapati, Dvaja Ganapati, Siddhi Vinayagar, Uchista Ganapati, Ekatanta Ganapati, Shristi Vinayagar, Thundi Vinayagar, Yoga Vinayagar, Vighnaraja, Kshipra Ganapati, Heramba Ganapathi.

VINAYAGAR CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS

Vinayagar Chaturthi is grandly celebrated in Malaysia. All Vinayagar temples celebrate this festival. Other temples also often celebrate it, especially if there is no Vinayagar temple in that area. Vinayagar Chaturthi falls on the 4th day of the new moon in the month of Aavani (August-September). Prayer to the god-with-form can lead to deep devotion and one-pointed ness so essential to transcending the senses and achieving union with God. Except for Rishis and Jnanis, the rest of mankind uses some form of symbol or other in worship. The Hindus are courageous enough to admit it openly and put these symbols to good use while almost all others do not admit it. The symbols help Hindus understand the indescribable better. The immersion of the earth figure into the water and its subsequent loss of existence denotes that man the ego-centric individual must allow himself to be absorbed by and into God. He must lose his individuality to gain unity with the Supreme.
Vinayagar Chaturthi helps us realize the unity of all life. It teaches us to drop off our egocentric, individualism for God-centered universalism.

ello people! *waves* Well, yesterday marked the first day of the new beginning in blogging. I know it's fast, it sucks as well.Monday to friday work..work, turned out to be quite chilling. First of all, i love the abundance of parking space. Secondly, yesterday's weather was beyond awesome. Thirdly, thankfully my baby Lamie didnt transfered to other Dept.Citibank L.C, hope he will still remain in Citibank L.G, so we sat together and went to lunch together( suppose to-but heavy rain spoilt everything)Chicken rice, Double plate with boneless chicken and Chinese Tea.. P1 ain't that bad, it's just mundane.

I am so free right now,for next few hours, and i am trying to get internships. TRYING. zz. Anyways, after all those kayaking and walking, i had muscle sore. Two days after i got back from Cameron Highland,Then this one old uncle came and joined us, my collegues husband and spoilt everyones mood, we wants to go there to enjoy, and in da middle OLD man..haizzzzz...goooshhhhhh!!!!!
So as a result, my shoulders and arms are still tight now, walking at the BOH tea area,the next day, i went for a jog wif my collegues, guess what time was it....# a.m and its freaking cold, went the with sleeveless shirt OMG..then we back, cant sleep, and we dance...we went with 8 people there, me and a chinese guy named Chuah, and 6 Girls.Really had a great time together

We lepak to the mAX, it has been a really long time since i had any traces of enjoyment in my blood *saint* haha. . W.t.h. Anyways, I was supporting Argentina, so basically i was freaking upset and was cursing the whole way. T_T sorry lar! They were totally raped la. The germans were on fire! Oh well My collegues laughed at me T_____T revenge weh! haha :)

Going to Pangkor for the next Trip, and i really can't wait, it'll be my first time going there, without my parents and wif office collegues. i was so excited! Now, i just really can't wait !i'll be super broke, ahahahaha...:)Plan to do extra hours..

OK then, gotta go , time to get on bed edy. Oh yea, i re-read Harry Potter again. , awesome story la. sigh.. Ok ok gotttaaaa go!

We have to endure yet another year under the evil and deceptive rule of corrupt politicians and hopefully this may be the last and than we can have a truly Happy New Year in 2011.

My wish for the New Year would be that in this New Year of 2010 we find our New Nation a Nation that is a real Democracy a new nation that respect and honour the rights of its people, where there is true Justice, Freedom and a Clean and Efficient government that is sincerely out to serve its people.

May we be rid of the decepticons of politicians that is out to deceive the people and country, that they are there through their devious and cunning mind and are actually thieves and robbers out to serve their own greed for power and money.

May these evil politicians die a thousand deaths in hell for oppressing, cheating and robbing the people and the nation and thus causing much sufferings to the general populace.

May the truth be found and may those who have sacrificed for this nation of ours, who have given their precious life so that others can be alerted and realize the truth and that the real spirits of the patriots be awaken and rise up with bravery and courage to stand their ground against the evil tyrants.

May these evil doers who manipulate and controls the stolen power of the judiciary and all other institution of the people and have created and used their evil and unjust laws against the good people be discovered and defeated.

DEEPAVALI: GREETINGS WITH THE MEANING...

A colourful festival or festival of lights some may call; celebrated by all Hindus worldwide is Deepavali. This festival usually falls around late October and November. One important practice that the Hindus follow during the festival is to light oil lamps in their homes on Deepavali morning. By lighting the oil lamps, the Hindus are thanking the gods for the happiness, knowledge, peace and wealth that they have received. The Hindus consider Deepavali as one of the most important festivals to celebrate.
The Legend -
There is even an interesting legend behind this festival. The story goes that Narakasura, a demon, ruled the kingdom of Pradyoshapuram. Under his rule, the villagers suffered a lot of hardship as the demon tortured the people and kidnapped the women to be imprisoned in his palace. Seeing his wickedness, Lord Krishna set out to destroy the demon and the day Narakasura died was celebrated as Deepavali, the triumph of good over evil!

Preparations -
Preparation for Deepavali starts usually at least two to three weeks before the festival. It is known in our country the Hindus will be busy cleaning their houses to prepare for the festival. Some would even renovate include painting; furniture changes may take effect to prepare it for Deepavali. Shoppin! Is the usual drill for the family to shop for new clothes and for accessories to decorate their homes. Prior to the festival, Indian shops will be selling festive items like Deepavali greeting cards, carpets, sarees, Jigpa’s and Kurtas, Punjabi suits and flowers. The Hindus will have frequent visits to these shops when it is Deepavali Season. Food supplies will also be accounted as Deepavali main event will be spent on food most of the time esp for all types of people.
Celebrations -
The Hindus usually wake early in the morning of Deepavali around 3am (Brahmamuhurta) and the first ritual will be having an oil bath (Containing Nallenei & Siakai), which is an important feature of Deepavali. Hindus will be dressed in their new clothes on Deepavali. Most of the ladies would be clad in silk saris or Punjabi suits of various bright shades. Hindus particularly dislike dressing in black on that day, as they consider black an inauspicious colour for the festival. Hindus would also pay their respects to the elderly and most families would go to the temple before having breakfast. This is also an important practice for them. The houses would be decorated in the day and illuminated by night with oil lamps and children will play with firecrackers to celebrate the festival under elders’ provisional guide. On the first day, they would not go visiting but would stay at home to welcome the guests who visit them.
Food -
Visiting Hindus during Deepavali is an interesting activity in Malaysia, as you will get to taste a wide variety of delicious food. In every home that you visit you are bound to be served with a tempting spread of sweets. Some of the popular sweets are Kolkattai, Murukku, Jilebi, Athirasam, Halwa, Burfi and Laddu. Hindus love eating spicy food and for non-vegetarians they indulge in favourites like chicken tandoori, prawn sambal and fish head curry. In homes of Hindus who are vegetarian’s popular dishes are like thosais, idlis, pooris and naans are prepared.

Being single is not such a bad thing actually. Especially if all your friends and siblings are happily hitched to the sides of spouses/lovers and all you have to boast of is your dog. This is not to say that having a dog is a bad thing. Dogs are definitely God's greatest creations after women. But that is beside the point.

The truth is, if you do have a girlfriend, well, good for you. Try holding on to her for as long as you can. But if you don't, you might consider yourself not really too unlucky after all. For, being single is not the worst thing in the world. In fact, its benefits rather outweigh its downsides.

Apart from the limitless freedom that it entails (provided, of course, you're not tied down by the apron strings of your loving mom), there are also other such things as an open market and the life of adventure, if you know what I mean (and don't let your imagination run too far for its own good).

But if you want to get into more specifics, here they are:

1. Freedom of movement. There is nothing a single man enjoys more than this. For, what can beat the pleasure of hopping onto your bike at 11 p.m. and going for a long ride into the dark unknown, to dwell on the joys and sorrows of singleness? (okay, it actually gets better than this).

2. Nobody questions your late hours or your disappearances for long intervals of time. Your disappearances might be either due to some inane programme that you wanted to attend (without the danger of expanding your mind) or again to ride off into the night to mull over the cruelties of life. Or you may choose to party late into the night with a few well-chosen friends and get up late the next day only to be forced to take off from work due to the hangover. This is not necessarily a good thing.

3. Your earnings don't have to be split two-ways. So apart from the tax you give the government, you still get to blow up your pay-check on other trivial pursuits, and no questions asked – except, of course, from the magistrate the next morning if you get yourself locked up. But that will be your own fault.

4. You can spend your private moments at home blasting music and singing at the top of your lungs into a hairbrush, with the shutters down and the dog scurrying for cover under the nearest bed.

5. You don't have to be in bed by midnight every day, only to wake up again when you've just dropped off, at 1 a.m. when the baby brings the roof down. Conversely, if you're unmarried and not living-in, you don't have to stay awake till 2 a.m. on the phone just because your girlfriend at the other end can't get sleep and needs to talk about the exciting happenings of the previous day (for some strange reason, they're always most exciting at 2 a.m.).

these stars glow because of fusion, fusion releases high amount of energy which is still uncontrollable for us humans, and havnt yet able to setup such device that could hold the energy coming out of fusion. sun is perfect example

Many economists say it’s the worst worldwide economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
According to Forbes list of the world’s richest people 2009, Bill Gates lost USD 18 billion, but reclaimed the no. 1 spot.
On the same list, Warren Buffet was no.2 but lost USD 25 billion due to a huge drop of his shares.
Anil Ambani was hit the hardest as he lost 76% of his net worth. Anil lost USD 32 billion also due to a heavy fall on his shares (Forbes World’s Richest People 2009).
USA jobless rate hits 8.1% in February 2009. 1 987,000 jobs lost from December 2008-February 2009. Currently 12.5 million people are unemployed in the USA.
UK unemployment rate at 6.3% as of February 2009…1.97 million jobless.
Singapore expects unemployment rate to rise to 4.2% in January 2009. So far, 34,000 have lost their jobs.

Religion and politics can’t mix. It’s a bad combination, a recipe for disaster. Why you may ask ? Well, all this is purely just my opinion. So if you disagree, just ignore me.
When I say religion, I mean all religions...Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sikhism, Judaism, Jainism, Confucianism, Bahai, & all the other religions.
When I say politics, I don’t mean only Malaysian politics, I mean politics of all countries worldwide.
Firstly, I say religion is personal, politics is not. Your faith & beliefs is a matter that lies solely between you and God…nobody else. Politics is everybody’s business in one way or the other.
Religions preach of what’s right & wrong, whereas some politicians don’t practice what they preach at all.
Religions can create extremists & fanatics. Politics can too. However, both have different purposes & ideologies. Put two & two together,.…boom!!
All/some religions have a holy book. The teachings of a religion & Holy Scriptures are stored in them. Whereas some politicians have violated the law book & even dare to talk about religion.
Each or some religions have its own perception of the truth…& truth is subject to interpretation. Some politicians don’t seem to care about the truth & even twist the truth to their own liking.
People can argue non-stop over religion. Politicians can use this to incite racial hatred among the people just to stay in power.
Religions range from hundreds to thousands of years old. Politicians can’t run a country in the 21st century based on beliefs/practices/ideologies that are thousands of years old.
Religions basically tell you this is this & that is that. Some politicians tell you this is that & that is this.
Religions are complex, each with its own practices & principles. Earth has roughly 6 billion people. There are at least 10 religions, each having millions of followers. With nearly 200 countries in the world with their own political situation, & if religion is mixed in, isn’t an argument inevitable ?
Religions have places of worship where people go to pray & seek solace. Some politicians can destroy these places of worship & cause a big fight among people.
So that's basically my point. Religion & politics can't mix. You may have noticed that I haven't provided any examples for any of my points. This is because I don't want to. I won't give you the chance to think I'm racist or favouring a particular religion. So if you want examples or more justification, think for yourself or look it up.

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said, 'The tree was ugly, bent and twisted'.

The second son said, 'No, it was covered with green buds and full of promise'.

The third son disagreed; he said, 'It was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing I've ever seen'.

The last son disagreed with all of them; he said, 'It was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment'.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.

Moral lessons: Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.

Global survey finds many Malaysian workers having regrets about their career choices made

Almost two thirds of workers in Malaysia say that if given the chance, they would have studied something totally different after leaving school, while one in eight say that they chose the wrong career, according to a new international workplace survey.

The survey, by global recruitment firm Kelly Services, found that many Malaysian workers have concerns about their education – both at school and post school – and many have regrets about the career choices they made.

The global survey sought the views of 115,000 people in 33 countries including more than 2,000 in Malaysia.
The findings show a high level of concern about career choices and directions.

Many people in the workforce do not believe that their education properly prepared them for working life and quite a few a have regrets about the direction that their job has taken them.

Amongst the key findings of the survey:

75% of people wish that they had studied further.
63% of people wish that they had studied something totally different.
13% say that they definitely chose the wrong career, while 21% are 'not sure'.
45% say that their school education did not prepare them well for working life.
29% say that their post-school education did not prepare them well for working life.

The findings throw light on how those in the workforce feel about the quality of their education. Satisfaction with the quality of Malaysia's school system was moderate by international standards with Malaysia ranking equal 20th with the UK on the list of 33 countries with a 45% satisfaction rate, slightly lower that the global average of 49%.

The highest level of support for school education came from India with 69% saying it prepared them well for working life. It was followed by Puerto Rico (67%), Indonesia and Thailand (65%), Poland (63%), Spain (61%), Canada and Hungary (59%), Japan and Mexico (57%).

The lowest rankings were for Sweden (26%), Norway (27%), Denmark (29%), Turkey (30%), Ukraine (37%), Russia and Italy (39%).

People across the globe were much more satisfied with their post-school education, with a global average of 65% saying it prepared them well for working life. Malaysia ranked equal 25th on the international list with 58% approval.

An overwhelming 83% of people agreed with the proposition that post-school/professional education should be more practical and less theoretical.

In Malaysia, 66% of respondents were happy with their career choice, while 13% said they had made the wrong choice and 21% were 'not sure'. Women were much more likely to have doubts about their career choice than men. It is only natural that people reflect in a positive way on what they have done and the extent to which they have achieved their professional goals.

It is to be expected that many wish they had worked harder while at school, college or university. There are also many who have had second thoughts about the career choices they made.

Regrettably, someone who discovers that they are in the wrong career is probably not as productive as they could be and may be missing out on a more fulfilling professional life.

It's also important that people don't over react or set up false expectations in evaluating their study and career choices.

It is now the norm for most employees to have several career changes in the course of a working life, so it's possible for someone who is dissatisfied with their career to do something positive about it.

Both men and women cited financial considerations as the major obstacle to changing career, followed by time and family.

From petty disagreements to all out rivalries, nearly all of us know how clashing personalities at work can affect us. Remember that even in the most extreme cases, there's usually a way to deal with that co-worker who always gets under your skin.

If you have to interact with different "characters" in your workplace, follow these tips to deal with them successfully.

The defensive person
We all know "Mr/Ms Perfect" – they are people who can never accept constructive criticism, no matter how you deliver it. They believe their way of doing things are always correct, and nothing you or anyone else can say will ever change their mind.

How to handle them: The best way to approach Mr/Ms Perfect is to give them positive reinforcement before you dish out the negative feedback. Criticize yourself first -- relate to them, and say how you "used to make the same mistake." Avoid definitive words like "never" and "always" and speak collectively, using words like "we" instead of "you." You should also avoid e-mail when you criticize them; doing it in person, face-to-face, will minimize the possibility of a misunderstanding, and will also limit how defensive they can get in response.

The constant arguer
You know that person who speaks up just to hear the sound of their own voice? Of course you do; we all do. This is the person who will dispute even the most rational points, just to be heard. They love to disagree, and always has a problem with what others say.

How to handle them: It might be tempting to put them in their place, but the best thing you can do with a constant arguer is let them finish their point. Don't interrupt them -- let them get it all out. When they’re finished, voice your opinion. Instead of fueling the fire, make your thoughts heard, and the more rational point will always win over. Agree to disagree if you need to. Above all else, always keep your cool.

The "me" person
This is the person who epitomizes ego. They have an inflated sense of themselves and believe that everything always revolves around their needs. They take credit for everything, regardless of whether or not they actually deserve it, especially when it comes to team projects. The ego-obsessed co-worker also believes their problems are always bigger and more important than everyone else's.

How to handle them: Keeping up with the "me" person will take a little extra effort on your part. It's important that you keep your manager aware of your worth and contribution, especially with team projects. Keep records of what you've accomplished, along with names and dates. Don't bother to "run your ideas" by the "me" person anymore. If they’re the type who takes your ideas and pass them off as their own, then it's time to stop making them look good. Like the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

The stubborn person
This is the person who's anything but a team player. They’re too committed to their own ways to ever be open to change and new ideas. Even when it seems obvious to everyone else that their methods are ineffective, they always believe that their way of doing things are the best one. The stubborn person may not always put in the energy to argue with others, but they’re generally an old-fashioned person who is set in their ways.

How to handle them: Cut your losses, and let them go. The one convenient thing about the stubborn person is that if their way of doing things do not pan out, their failure will speak for itself. Of course, if you're feeling generous, you can always try to help. Speak in general terms of how "others" do a certain task so that they’re less likely to take it personally. Then there's always the option of just doing the task yourself. This course of action might undermine them, but it will also prove your point. If possible, make them believe that they’re responsible for the change, and that it's their idea. Propose the idea to them and let them take charge.

The backstabber
This is the person we really hate -- they talk trash about you and your work to others, and they typically do it behind your back. They characterize you as someone who's incompetent and does their very best to make you look bad in front of your co-workers and superiors. Regardless of whether or not it's true, the backstabber is effective in creating the perception that you're as bad as they make you out to be.

How to handle them: The first time you hear about their trash talk, pull the backstabber aside to a private area and let them know that you're aware of what they’re doing. Most people in the office avoid confrontation, so if you let them know that you won't stand for it, they'll pay attention. They may deny the accusations but as long as you get your point across, they'll get the message.

The blame game person
When it comes to playing the blame game, this person is the champion. They never take responsibility for their mistakes and shift the blame onto others, often to an incredibly irrational extent. They fail to realize that the easiest way to impress your co-workers is to admit when you've done something wrong and explore ways to avoid doing so in the future.

How to handle them: When it's appropriate, share the responsibility. Even if a mistake was more their fault than yours, acknowledging what you did wrong will make it easier for the blame game person to admit what they did wrong on their part. When sharing the blame is not appropriate, however, it's important that you make clear to your superior who was at fault for the mishap, even if you have to do it in a private conversation.

The whiner
The whiner is that person who always complains. They’re constantly crossing the delicate line between venting frustration and unconstructive nitpicking. They unleash their cynical attitude onto whoever happens to be around them, whether they want to hear it or not.

How to handle them: Being a whiner is usually embedded into someone's personality, so you probably won't be able to change them. You can, however, minimize your interactions with them. When they start chatting you up about the latest little thing that's getting on their nerves, simply tell them that you're busy. They may take offense, but hey, they need to get the hint.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS

So you've done your best to deal with a difficult personality, but you still can't seem to shake them off your back. In these extreme cases, you may want consider taking one of the following courses of action.

Avoid them
You don't have to ignore them completely but you should try to steer clear of your irritable coworker as much as possible. If you don't work directly together, don't feel the need to engage in small talk or spend time with them when you don't have to.

Report them
If you've tried to deal with this person on your own to no avail, it may be time to bring up the issue with your superior. This is especially important if the quality of your work is suffering because of the situation.

Turn to human resources
If your superior is ineffective in resolving the situation, you may want to approach someone in your human resources department. These people are trained to handle these types of issues -- it's what they're paid to do.

Ask to be transferred to a different department
If that doesn't work? Well, you can always ask to be relocated within the company. It's an extreme response to an extreme situation, but in some cases, you may have no other choice.

What is the elusive thing called 'Love' that everyone so desperately needs? Sometimes, we sort of like this girl because she is beautiful? Or the girl likes him because he is handsome? But this kind of 'Cinderella Syndrome' when the girl is waiting on her Prince Charming is not real love. It is better known as 'Infatuation', and there is a vast difference between it and real love. Enumerated here below are the differences. Find out if you are really in love and not just infatuated.
What is Infatuation?
Infatuation is a feeling; real love involves a commitment also. Infatuation is just love of emotion. Real love though, is love of devotion. In the beginning, infatuation (or a crush) and love feel exactly the same. Only the emotions are affected in infatuation, but in real love both the Emotions and Will are involved. Next, a person 'falls into' infatuation, but 'grows into' real love. Gentlemen, have you ever seen a girl who was so beautiful that you thought you'd faint? This is infatuation. It is based totally on physical attraction; Often you don't know much in-depth about the person you so-called love. Thus infatuation is mostly biological.
Also remember; never tell a woman you love her, unless you are willing to marry her. Then, infatuation is basically selfish where real love is basically selfless. Infatuation is more interested in satisfying yourself and your "feelings" than it is in the other person.
Real love is primarily interested in the other person. It seeks to give instead of get. Love unselfishly seeks the highest good for the other person.
Lastly, infatuation is weakened by time and separation where real love is strengthened by time and separation. This does not mean that there will be no pain in separation. On the contrary, there is great pain in separation if you are truly in love.

Now you understand what infatuation is, let us now go on to discuss about Love.
Love is Patient - The word translated "patient" means to wait patiently for the fulfillment of expectations. Love is not Arrogant - Love is not conceited, boastful, cocky or stuck up. Love, instead, is humble and has a servant attitude. Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy. I'm not from New York . I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don't think I'm overreaching at all.
Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200 - 250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won't get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?

Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a nice home and hearth.

I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament. Firstly, I'm not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here's how I see it.
Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a cr@ppy business deal. Here's why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring my money. Fine, simple. But here's the rub, your looks will fade and my money will likely continue into perpetuity...in fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won't be getting any more beautiful!
So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation accelerates! Let me explain, you're 25 now and will likely stay pretty hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!
So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy and hold...hence the rub...marriage. It doesn't make good business sense to "buy you" (which is what you're asking) so I'd rather lease. In case you think I'm being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It's as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.
Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So, I wonder why a girl as "articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful" as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K hasn't found you, if not only for a tryout.
By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then we wouldn't need to have this difficult conversation.

sometimes it hurts when someone comes up to you..they say they pity you..they offer you a helping hand..only to let go of your hand..when you are about to come up from despair..sometimes it's painful..when you trust every word they say..and it turns out they said it out of sympathy..when sympathy is given to souls who have no homes to go to..sometimes all that is thought to be forever..ends up with an abrupt end..with no explanations given whatsoever..and all you are left with is just a broken heart..sometimes when all you have left is pieces of you..it's best to be all alone, separated from the world..tending to your wounds, hoping for the sun to shine again..when all you know is it's going to be raining way longer..maybe sometime later, you will understand the reasons..maybe someday you would be brought to see the real picture..perhaps someday you will realise what is true..and that day, i hope the heart that beats for you..will still keep on beating..for that is the only thing i know of..that reminds me of forever..

10 Tips for Memory Improvement

1. Focus your attention on the materials you are studying.

3. Structure and organize the information you are studying.

4. Utilize mnemonic devices to remember information.

I sympathise with the thousands of Malaysians who were caught in the massive traffic gridlock caused by floods in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas. Including my wife who took 2 and a half hours to make the journey home when it would normally take her 20 minutes.

Are you fed-up?

Are you going to say, "Hiyah naer mine la. Like that one la. Malaysia ma."

Maybe it is also time to ask all those YB's responsible if all those billions of our tax-payers money spent on the SMART tunnel was such a smart move after all.

It was pointed out to me that...

According to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall flood information centre, the floods began at 5pm after a downpour.

Enforcement officer Chief Insp Lamli Musa said the flood waters began to recede after the Smart Tunnel was closed to traffic to enable flood operations.

So the floods began at 5 pm. Waters got up to 2 meters. Then the SMART tunnel was closed to traffic and that caused the waters to recede. Ahhhhh....I see. Stupid me! I always thought the SMART was built to PREVENT floods. Now I know that it is to make flood waters recede. Meaning that floods will still happen whenever there is heavy rains. But wait ah...what the Chief Inspector fler didn't say was that the tunnel closure also meant total, horrendous traffic grid lock. So think about it. Whatever happens WE lose. Heads they win, tails we lose. Sound familiar?

We Are Better Than Other Countries

I don’t want to always focus on socio-political issues. And even if I do, I just do it my way. With sarcasm and bullshit. Too bad for me, that Malaysian political figures have more bullshit than the cows that graze near my grandma’s house.

Dr. M said that Malaysia was fortunate in that respect compared with countries like Rwanda and Burundi where there were mass tribal killings. Yeah, we’re better than Rwanda and Burundi. Why do these guys keep comparing our country to countries that are not of the same stature? This isn’t even anywhere near plausible.

Remember Zam Zam Alakazam? I even forgot his fuckin’ name lah. Remember that famous “We Are Not Burma” rant? Yeah, go ahead and compare yourself to a country that’s been rife with civil war for God knows how long. And he was smart enough to include comparisons of the same country but with two different names. Burma and Myanmar. Bloody un-Informed Minister.

Someone used to say, at least our football was better than Singapore’s. That was many years ago. Now we got beat by Singapore. And thrashed by the UAE. With the ex-national coach saying that M-League isn’t football. What are we gonna do next? Compare Malaysia (rank 158) with Somalia (rank 178)? Interestingly, Rwanda (rank 86) and Burundi (rank 134) are standing higher than us.

What about broadband? Fuhgetdaboutit. One thing’s for sure. We are damn well better than Papua New Guinea. I think laa. I just made that conclusion based on the knowledge that there are more monkeys in Papua than humans, and monkeys don’t use the Internet.

All this stupid remarks are akin to comparing your penis to a rat’s penis. It just ain’t right. It’s plain dumb.
